Entanglement Upgrade

We're happy to introduce the latest version of Entanglement. With a little help from some very talented friends we've made some significant enhancements to the game. These enhancements include:
  • New snazzy graphics! We hope you like the new graphics because we think they look great.
  • High scores tables! Logging in with your google id you can submit scores to the high score table. Find out how you stand up against other Entanglement players!
  • A new scoring system. The new system gives you more points the farther your line travels in a single turn. You'll want to set up the longest moves possible to get the most points!
More upgrades will be coming in the next few weeks. We'll be sure to keep you updated as these are added. In the meantime, click the banner above to play the latest version. If you run into any problems or have an opinion you want to share, feel free to leave a comment or send us an e-mail!

  1. I just loaded up Entanglement. While I love the look of the upgrade, some things aren't working properly. I started a Solitaire game, fyi.

    1) My first tile showed up as plain white.
    2) All subsequent tiles don't show their rotation. So basically I'm playing blind. Not very fun.

Of course, now that I've loaded a second game it works fine... odd :P

  2. Thanks for the feedback chibidani. Sounds like our textures aren't loading quickly enough - I'll look into it.

  3. I sometimes get blank tiles that, when I click to advance, gives me a big "undefined." What's going on?

Do you think it would be possible to allow access to the older version? I kinda preferred it, and my computer handled it better.

  4. Hi jwdink, that's odd. I updated it this morning, so you might try refreshing the page to make sure your browser is using the latest version. If it continues to happen, let me know what browser you're using and I'll try to replicate the issue.

We realized this update was a really big change, so we also have the old version running here: http://gopherwoodstudios.com/entanglement0/ - enjoy!

  5. "Play Again" in the old version starts a game in the new version.

  6. In Opera, since there's content "off-screen" poised to slide in, Opera interprets my arrow presses/scroll wheel uses as attempts to scroll, so it pans away from the board and off to the menus on the right or what have you. I realize this is really Opera's fault, but it's still kind of annoying. I have to go back to my estranged lover, Firefox, in order to play the game!

  7. I loved this game in Beta. However, your graphics "improvements" have made it impossible for color-blind players to distinguish the line in play. Thanks for nothin.

  8. @Robb - 3 posts above you, there's a link to the old version.

  9. @dddtjc123 - Ah, thanks for mentioning that - it's been fixed: you may need to do a page refresh to get the latest.

@Patrick G - Hmm, I'll look into that - I've also noticed issues with selecting text causing the slide-out menu to show again; may need to do that a different way.

@Robb - I will definitely keep your suggestion in mind going forward, but please feel free to play the older version in the mean time.

  11. Hi !
Nice game, the new graphics are wonderful and the music sooo nice ! :)

But sometimes keyboard mode does not work for me (In fact, it doesn't work too often), because as I broke my mouse wheel, I have to scroll w/ the touchpad of my laptop, which is not really convenient...

  13. I never get the idea with the highscores - 3000? how is that even possible? I saw different colored paths at the end of one video, how was that possible?

  14. Please make this into an iphone game. It would sell well at $0.99 or $1.99. You guys deserve compensation so you can keep making great games.

  15. I strongly second the request for an Android version, or simply adjust the controls so it becomes playable on mobile browsers.

  16. Who created the music for the new Entanglement?

    It's oriental and contemplative.

    I want it.

    Any links for download?

  17. Same question here, who's the author of the music in entaglement??

  18. Omni Audio created the sound track and sound effects. We plan to release the soundtrack for download in the near future. Glad you like it!

  19. I play Entanglement on XP using Chrome. Sometimes the music plays, sometimes it does not. I've tried waiting a few minutes, I've tried reloading the browser, restarting the browser, toggling mute or adjusting sound on the laptop, toggling the music button several times... nothing. PLEASE fix this so I can have my music back! Thanks for a great game!

  20. Hi beel,

If you have a chance, please load the game, and, if the music doesn't start playing within about 20-30 seconds, click the wrench in the top-right corner of Chrome, select Tools -> Developer Tools, and click the Console icon along the top. Please send us any errors you might see listed there to feedback@gopherwoodstudios.com. Thanks!

  21. I just started playing the game a month or so ago, and I love it! But I have noticed that the music has a mind of it's own! lol It plays sometimes and sometimes not, but I click on the symbol and get to play. Keep of the great work though! Game is GREAT!

  22. Is there any way I can play this on Sox that doesn't have an internet connection? I'm a city employee and, well, you know...
